The Swiss Laundry team has been experts who have been working in the laundry industry for more than 10 years. All new team members are trained by our laundry manager properly before handing the customer garments. The machines and chemicals we use are of the highest quality.

Types of Laundry Services

There are types of laundry service a laundry can offer. The type of service is based on the type of garment and its washing instruction provided through laundry care symbols. The Swiss Laundry offers 2 basic types of laundry service:-

A. Machine Wash

Garments are washed using a machine designed particularly for laundry service. These machines are controlled by pre-set programs to give desirable output every time we wash garments. In this process there is usage of water along with eco friendly chemicals with pre defined washing programs which is chosen on the basis of the type of garments being washed. The Laundry machine used for this process includes a washer extractor and a commercial dryer.

B. Hand Wash

Some garments due to their fabric, texture or weight are required to be washed by hand for best results. This process takes a longer time and has complete involvement of a team member's expertise gained through years of experience. In this process the person handling the garments has to individually treat each garment as per the need.

Laundry Service Process

Tagging

All garments coming to the laundry workshop are tagged to give them unique identification.

Segregation Stage 1

The garments are segregated based on the category of washing they need: Machine wash or Hand Wash

Segregation Stage 2

The garments are segregated based on type of washing they need: Hot water wash, Cold water wash, extra rinse, extra softener or wollens

Segregation Stage 3

The garments are segregated based on the colour pattern of the fabric: Whites, Colours and light colour clothes.

Washing

The garments are washed based on the segregation done.

Spotting

If garments have stains even after the washing process, they are treated with special chemicals.

Ironing

Each garment is ironed as per the requirements.

Quality Check

Each garment is inspected for quality.

Packaging Stage 1

Every garment is individually
packed.

Packaging Stage 2

All garments belonging to a particular order are collected and packed together.

Laundry Machine

The Swiss Laundry uses premium commercial laundry machines to take best care of your laundry. Machines used to do wet wash laundry have been imported from Europe. They are programmable and thus reduce human interference in the washing process. Customized programs have been developed to make sure that best care of garments are taken in every wash cycle. A. Washer Extractor

A commercial washer extractor is a type of laundry machine which cleans the garments using water and also does extraction of the clothes as it has an RPM level upto 1000. The extraction process in the washer extractor helps to remove water upto 80% from each garment. This helps to reduce the drying time for each garment once removed from the washer extractor.

B. Dryer

A commercial dryer is a type of laundry machine which helps with drying of soiled clothes. They dry the garments using heat generated within them or using heat from an external steam generator. They help keep the clothes fresh as new as no sunlight is required to dry the clothes.

The Swiss Laundry uses premium eco-friendly laundry chemicals to wash garments. We tie up with the top brands in the world like Seitz and Diversey to be our laundry chemical supplier. By making sure international standards of chemicals are only used in the laundry facility we are trying our best to give best results to our customers requirements.

Quality Check

A final check of the finished garment is carried out by the laundry manager before final packaging of the garments.

Dry Cleaning Symbols
